What a coincidence: Dengue cases skyrocket just as dengue vaccine approaches licensure "IndyWatch Feed War"

And just as Bill Gates is rolling out his genetically engineered mosquitos

BY MERYL NASS | JULY 26, 2023

One dengue vaccine was licensed in the US in 2019 after killing dozens of kids in the Philippines. Philippine Ministry of Health and Sanofi officials went on trial for manslaughter in that case, just before the FDA issued the same vaccine a license. While the license was only issued for people aged 9-16, and only if they had had dengue once already, your tax dollars rolled it out all over Puerto Rico. Will all vaccinators follow those strictures?

Heres what CDC notes about the licensed vaccine:

This vaccine is different from other vaccines in that it is only recommended for people who have already been infected with dengue virus. The reason is that children without previous dengue infection are at increased risk for severe dengue disease and hospitalization if they get dengue after they are vaccinated with Dengvaxia. Therefore, healthcare providers should check for evidence of a laboratory-confirmed previous dengue infection before vaccination.

Another dengue vaccine has come before the VRBPAC FDA committee twice, and I blogged those meetings. It appears it only works for 2 of the 4 dengue strains. It supposedly did not need a blood test before use. Takeda is the manufacturer and it describes the vaccine here.

Epoch Times reports:

The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that cases of dengue fever could reach record highs this year.

Dengue rates are rising globally, with reported cases since 2000 up eight-fold to 4.2 million in 2022, a WHO official said on July 21.

In January, the WHO claimed that dengue is the worlds fastest-spreading tropical disease and alleged it could be a pandemic threat.

The disease was found in Sudans capital Khartoum for the first time on record, according to a health ministry report in March, while Europe has reported a surge in cases and Peru declared a state of emergency in most regions.

Tunisia: Hundreds of prominent Arab and Muslim figures demand release of Rached Ghannouchi

Signatories of open letter say Ghannouchis arrest is part of a 'widespread crackdown' in Tunisia taking place since February 2023

Rached Ghannouchi greets supporters upon arrival at a police station in Tunis, on 21 February 2023, in compliance with the summons of an investigating judge (AFP)

Hundreds of influential figures from across the Arab and Muslim world demanded the release on Friday of Rached Ghannouchi and other political detainees in Tunisia following 100 days since his arrest.

According to the signatories of the open letter to Tunisian authorities, Ghannouchis arrest is part of a widespread crackdown on dissent that has intensified since February 2023, as more than a dozen opposition figures were arrested including judges, politicians, activists, and businessmen.

Their sole crime is defying attempts to roll back Tunisias democratic gains, reestablish dictatorship, and halt the progress opposition leaders are making towards building a broad and diverse alliance to defend democracy, the letter stated.

The signatories include leaders, academics, and influential figures across the Muslim world like Abdel Rahman bin Farhat, a member of the Algerian parliament; Abderrahim Sheikhi, the former president of the Movement for Unity and Revolution in Morocco; and Hussein Ghazi al-Samarrai from the Iraqi Fiqh Council.

Weekend long read "IndyWatch Feed War"

1) The ITIC reports on The Palestinian Authority attempts to restore its system of governance.

One of the most critical tests currently facing the PA is restoring its governance to the Jenin region. For the time being, the security forces operate in the city, but the real test will be when they try to enter the refugee camp to disarm terrorist operatives. The Jenin refugee camp is considered one of the most fortified locations in Judea and Samaria, with stockpiles of weapons and explosives and where dozens of armed operatives freely roam the streets. Part of the PAs urgency to restore control comes from the fear that Hamas will take control of the territory, because during a long period when Hamas did not claim responsibility for attacks in Judea and Samaria, its military-terrorist wing now formally does claim responsibility for them.

2) At the JCPA, Khaled Abu Toameh discusses The Palestinian Authoritys Corruption and Its Impact on the Peace Process.

Nearly three decades after its establishment, the Palestinian Authority and its institutions continue unchecked in their corruption and human rights violations. This has negatively impacted the Palestinian publics confidence in its leaderships policies and decisions. The ramifications of this on the Palestinian Authoritys leadership have been devastating, especially regarding the peace process with Israel and its ability to lead the Palestinians toward statehood.

Mogadishu, Somalia, July 27, 2023 The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and the Ministry of Health of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) have partnered to rehabilitate six regional hospitals across the country.

The $12.5 million initiative, which is part of the World Banks Somalia COVID-19 Emergency Vaccination Project Additional Financing, will encompass major renovations, civil works, and the installation of essential medical equipment to enhance the hospitals emergency response capabilities. The project will also integrate climate resilience measures, such as flood prevention mechanisms, wind-resistant structures, and passive cooling systems, to ensure the hospitals are equipped to withstand climate-related challenges.

The hospitals to be rehabilitated are:

  1. Bosaso General Hospital in Puntland State
  2. Galmudug Regional Referral Hospital in Dhusamareb, Galmudug State
  3. Beledweyne District Referral Hospital in Hirshabelle State

Mercola's health company, critical of COVID vaccines and FDA, has Chase accounts suddenly terminated "IndyWatch Feed World"

Employees of a Florida-based retail health company said JP Morgan Chase Bank suddenly terminated their personal and company bank accounts without an explanation. One of the employees believes the account shutdowns were politically motivated and due to their employer's controversial stance on COVID-19. Another employee said the sudden decision to close her account is creating additional hurdles to help send money to her husband who is bedridden with dementia in the Philippines. The owner of Mercola Market, Dr. Joseph Mercola, has criticized of COVID-19 vaccines and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Mercola Market sells specialty beverages, food, supplements and other health items. A store is located in Cape Coral. On July 13, Mercola Market, along with the CEO, CFO and some of their family members, all received similar letters from Chase Bank saying "[they] have decided to close" their individual personal and business accounts.

Inconsistency in BBC descriptions of the location of two shooting attacks "IndyWatch Feed War"

On the morning of July 25th a shooting attack took place on Mount Gerizim:

Three Palestinian gunmen, claimed as members of the Hamas terror group, were killed by Israeli forces while attempting to attack a small Samaritan community in the northern West Bank on Tuesday morning, the military said.

The exchange of fire took place in the Mount Gerizim area, just south of Nablus, and close to the Jewish settlement of Har Bracha. The area is home to a tiny community of Samaritans, known as Shomronim in Hebrew.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, a car with the three gunmen arrived in the area, and two got out and opened fire at troops of the 603rd Combat Engineering Battalion who were guarding an army post at the entrance gate to the Samaritan community.

Later the same day, the BBC News website published a report by Raffi Berg headlined Palestinian gunmen killed near West Bank Samaritan community. Some five hours later that report was updated to include information concerning the Hamas affiliations of the perpetrators:

The official Palestinian Wafa news agency said Israeli forces took away the bodies of the men, who it said were...

Typhoon Doksuri (Egay) leaves at least 6 dead and displaces thousands in the northern Philippines "IndyWatch Feed World"

Typhoon Doksuri lashed northern Philippine provinces with ferocious wind and rain Wednesday, leaving at least six people dead and displacing thousands of others as it blew roofs off houses, flooded low-lying villages and triggered dozens of landslides, officials said. One landslide buried a house in Buguias town in Benguet province, killing a mother, her child and two other children and injuring two other people. In the nearby resort city of Baguio, a 17-year-old person died when soil loosened by heavy rains buried his house, officials said. In Isabela province, also in the north, a woman selling bread on a bicycle cart died when she was hit in the head by a falling coconut tree, a police report said.

Arming Taiwan is an Insane Provocation "IndyWatch Feed War"

The Island of Taiwan has been turned into a powder keg by the infusion of U.S. weaponry, pushing the Taiwanese people into the abyss of disaster.  These are the words of the Chinese Defense Ministry in reaction to the recent $440 million sale of U.S. arms to the island.  And now the U.S.is also giving, not selling, arms to Taiwan, courtesy of the U.S. taxpayer.

The First Island Chain Strategy of the U.S.

Taiwan is but one in a series of islands along the Chinese coast, often called The First Island Chain, which now bristles with advanced U.S. weapons. These are accompanied by tens of thousands of supporting U.S. military personnel and combat troops.  The First Island Chain extends from Japan in the north southward through Japans Ryukyu islands which include Okinawa, to Taiwan and on to the northern Philippines.  (U.S. ally, South Korea, with a military of 500,000 active duty personnel and 3 million reserves is a powerful adjunct to this chain.)  In US military doctrine the First Island Chain is a base to project power and restrict sea access to China.

Taiwan is at the center this string of islands and is considered the focal point of The First Island Chain strategy.  When the fiercely hawkish Cold Warrior, Secretary of State John Foster Dulles, conceived the strategy in 1951, he dubbed Taiwan Americas unsinkable aircraft carrier.

Taiwan is now one source of contention between the U.S. and China.  As is often said but rarely done, the pursuit of peace demands that we understand the point of view of those who are marked as our adversaries.  And, in Chinas eyes, Taiwan and the rest of these armed isles look like both chain and noose.

How would the U.S. react in a similar circumstance? Cuba is about the same distance from the U.S. as the width of the Taiwan Strait that separates Taiwan from the Mainland.  Consider the recent U.S. reaction to rumors that China was setting up a listening post in Cuba.  There was a bipartisan reaction of alarm in Congress and a bipartisan statement that such an installation is unacceptable.  What would be the reacti...
